Senator Ahmed Wadada quits Social Democratic Party over internal crisis

Senator Ahmed Wadada, representing Nasarawa West, has announced his resignation from the Social Democratic Party (SDP), citing unresolved internal crises within the party.

Wadada disclosed his decision in a letter addressed to the Chairman of SDP, Tudun Kofa Ward in Keffi Local Government Area of Nasarawa State. In the letter, he said the prolonged conflicts and litigations within the party had created deep divisions that made his continued membership untenable.

“This decision has not been taken lightly, but I feel compelled to do so due to the lingering internal crisis that has plagued our party for some time,” the senator stated.

While expressing gratitude for the opportunities he enjoyed as a member of the party, Wadada said it was time to move on and explore new political avenues.
