Woman, 41, found dead inside church auditorium in Ogun State

 A 41-year-old woman identified as Mrs Benita Lurk Ikuenobe has been found dead inside the main auditorium of the Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries (MFM), Prayer City, along Lagos-Ibadan Expressway in Ogun State.



The suspected suicide occurred on Friday, 18th July 2025, sparking shock and concern among worshippers at the popular religious facility.

The Chief Security Officer of the church, Mr Esiere Ekikere, disclosed that he received an emergency call at about 7:20 a.m., alerting him to an unconscious woman lying on the floor of the auditorium.

Upon arrival at the scene, Ekikere found the victim unresponsive, with an empty bottle of a suspected toxic substance, believed to be Sniper, beside her. The discovery was immediately reported to the police.

Law enforcement officers arrived at the church, documented the scene with photographs, and evacuated the body to Real Divine Hospital morgue, where an autopsy will be conducted to ascertain the actual cause of death.

Authorities have since opened a full-scale investigation into the circumstances surrounding the tragic incident.
