Dreka Gates, the wife of rapper Kevin Gates, has filed for divorce from him after nearly a decade of marriage.
The filing was submitted on July 30, 2025, marking the end of a relationship that began with their wedding in October 2015.
According to court documents obtained by TMZ, Dreka listed the couple’s date of separation as July 10 and cited "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for the breakup. The two share two children—12-year-old Islah and 11-year-old Khaza and Dreka is requesting joint legal and physical custody of both.
In addition to custody, Dreka is seeking spousal support and has requested that the court terminate its ability to grant Kevin any support in return. The documents do not clarify whether a prenuptial agreement was in place.
Dreka, who also managed Kevin Gates during parts of his career, had long been seen as a stabilizing influence in both his personal and professional life. Their separation comes just months before what would have been their 10th wedding anniversary.
When reached for comment, Kevin Gates’ representative stated the rapper is "unfortunately" choosing not to speak on the matter at this time.
The news adds to a growing list of celebrity breakups in 2025.
