Benin City, the Edo capital will between May 12 and 16, host Captains in the Nigerian Army writing the the 2025 Captain to Major written promotion examination.
Lt. Samson Akindutire, Acting Assistant Director, Army Public Relations, Nigerian Army School of Supply and Transport (NASST) announced this in a statement on Tuesday in Benin.
Akindutire said that the examination, organised by the Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC), would take place at the Muhammadu Buhari Auditorium in the school.
According to him, the exercise is a key requirement for officers on the Direct Regular Commission (DRC) seeking promotion to the rank of Major.
”The promotion exam is part of the Army’s efforts to entrench professionalism and merit in its career progression system.”
