House Of Representatives vote overwhelmingly in support of State of Emergency on Rivers State by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu

 The House of Representatives has voted overwhelmingly in support of the declaration of a state of emergency in Rivers State by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

 


The Speaker of the House of Representatives Tajudeen Abbass read the president’s letter during a plenary session today seeking approval for the State of Emergency on Rivers state.

 

When put in a voice vote, the lawmakers overwhelmingly backed President Tinubu’s declaration, approving his decision.

 

According to Abbass, 240 lawmakers attended the session, meaning there was a quorum.
