Magnitude 6.2 earthquake strikes off Samoa

An earthquake with a magnitude of 6.2 has struck off Samoa.
The US Geological Survey reports the epicentre was just shy of 200km southwest of Apia, which is the capital and largest city of the island nation.
There are no immediate reports of any damage or casualties.
