I was engulfed with an unprecedented emotion

That I had to project an air of calm self-confidence

To project my kind love

As a person worth listening to.

For the first time I saw her,

I admired, cherished and appreciated her

Because she was a paragon of beauty

And an embodiment of love and centre of attraction.

Once I saw her;

Twice I admired her,

Thrice I was attracted

That her picture is ever before me.

My arms are empty

Because I can’t hold her;

My lips are cold and dry

Because I can’t kiss her.

Meeting her was fate;

Knowing her was coincidence,

Becoming her friend was a choice

But failing in love with her is completely out of control.

The first time I saw her,

I was scared to touch her.

The first time I touched her,

I was scared to kiss her.

The first time I kissed her,

I was scared to love her.

But now that I love he,

I am scared of losing her.
