Veteran Nigerian singer Innocent Idibia ties the knot with Natasha Osawaru in private traditional ceremony

Veteran Nigerian singer Innocent Idibia, widely known as 2Baba or 2Face, has formalised his relationship with Natasha Osawaru in a private traditional wedding ceremony, where he was offered prayers for enduring love and stability.

According to reports, the ceremony took place on July 25 and was attended by close relatives, including 2Baba’s parents. The event, held discreetly, came to public attention on Thursday when photos and videos from the occasion began circulating online, prompting a wave of commentary from fans and members of the entertainment industry.

One of the clips shows the couple receiving solemn blessings from a family elder, who offered prayers laced with symbolism and reflections on the singer’s past.

“The good Lord will protect and preserve this marriage. It will be sweet like sugar, honey, and salt. As nobody knows how water enters coconut, nobody will know the secret of this marriage,” the elder prayed during the ceremony.

Referring to 2Baba’s previous marriage, the elder added: “We know you, you have been marrying and marrying, but today, this marriage has come to stay for favour, good health, good love, and others. Anybody trying to break this marriage will be separated.”

The wedding has stirred varied reactions online, with many expressing surprise at the low-profile nature of the event while others offered their congratulations and well-wishes for a new chapter in the musician’s life.
