Iran’s top military commander says the country places absolutely “no trust” in the promises of the United States and the Israeli regime and stands “fully prepared” to decisively confront any renewed aggression on their part.
Speaking in a phone conversation with Tajikistan’s Minister of Defense Emomali Abdur Rahim Sobirzoda, Major General Abdolrahim Mousavi, Chief of Staff of Iran’s Armed Forces, expressed gratitude for Tajikistan's steadfast support during Israel's 12-day aggression against Iran.
He noted that Major General Mohammad Baqeri, martyred during the Israeli aggression, consistently prioritized Tajikistan, stressing the importance of strengthening military ties and bilateral cooperation between the two countries.
“Positive and effective steps have been taken in this direction, and I will continue this path,” he added.
He said the enemy's outrageous actions proved that despite 12 days of brutal attacks violating all international norms, the US and Israel “did not achieve their goals and received heavy blows, which is why they called for a ceasefire to save the Zionist regime.”
On June 13, Israel launched a blatant and unprovoked act of aggression against Iran, assassinating many high-ranking military commanders, nuclear scientists, and killing civilians.
On June 22, the United States also entered the war and bombed three Iranian nuclear facilities in Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan, in a clear violation of international law and the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT).
Two days later, Iran, through its successful retaliatory operations against both the Israeli regime and the US, managed to impose a halt to the illegal assault.
“We place absolutely no trust in the promises and commitments of the Americans and Zionists, and we stand fully prepared to decisively confront any potential renewed aggression from them,” he underlined.
The Tajik official, for his part, offered his country’s condolences for the martyrdom of Iranian commanders and civilians during the 12-day imposed war against Iran.
He also underscored the deep cultural, linguistic, and historical commonalities between the two countries, describing the bilateral relations as based on brotherhood.
"The government and people of the Republic of Tajikistan regard the people of Iran as their friends and find them true brothers,” he added.
