Ademola Adeleke Vows Never to Leave Peoples Democratic Party – Assures Osun State Stakeholders

Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke has assured stakeholders of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) that he has no intention of leaving the party.

In a statement released by the governor’s spokesperson, Olawale Rasheed, it was noted that Adeleke held a stakeholders meeting at the Government House Banquet Hall on Wednesday evening, where former Governor Olagunsoye Oyinlola participated via an online address.

During the meeting, chaired by Osun party Chairman Sunday Bisi, the governor dismissed rumors of his potential defection to the All Progressives Congress (APC) as false.

“My people, party elders, and chiefs, I want to make it clear today that I am not defecting to the APC or any other political party. I remain committed to the PDP. Please disregard any false information,” the governor stated.

The meeting also included notable attendees such as Board of Trustee member Senator Olu Alabi, former National Secretary Professor Wale Oladipo, and the former Deputy House of Representatives member.

The gathering also expressed a vote of confidence in the governor, commending his fair, visionary, and effective leadership.

The stakeholders endorsed the governor as the party’s sole candidate for a second term in the 2026 election.

They acknowledged the significant delivery of democratic benefits and good governance across all sectors of Osun society.

They welcomed and praised the governor’s declaration that he has no intention, now or in the future, of defecting to the All Progressive Congress (APC) or any other political party. They also supported the statements from other prominent party leaders affirming their commitment to remain with the PDP and not switch to the APC or any other party.

Finally, they applauded the party executives, leaders, and elected and appointed officials from the Oriade/Obokun federal constituency for their loyalty to the PDP and for rejecting recent defections by a disloyal individual.
