Kebbi State Governor: “I Am Not Leaving All Progressives Congress; I Am Not a Political Opportunist”

Kebbi State Governor, Dr. Nasir Idris, has strongly refuted rumors about his potential defection from the All Progressives Congress (APC), reaffirming his commitment to the party.

In a statement released on Sunday by his Chief Press Secretary, Ahmed Idris, the governor labeled the speculation as “ridiculously malicious” and attributed it to “uninteresting political comedians” attempting to sow discord.

In response to reports suggesting his involvement in a coalition allegedly led by former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, Governor Idris made it clear: “I am made in APC, by APC, and for APC.”

“To clarify, I am not a political opportunist. I will be the last person to abandon my strong and dependable party for any coalition, regardless of who is behind it,” he asserted.
.Idris, widely known as Kauran Gwandu, reiterated his commitment to providing effective governance for the people of Kebbi State and supporting President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s vision.

“If anyone suggests that I might leave the APC, tell them I will be the last man standing,” he asserted.

Reaffirming Kebbi State’s strong loyalty to the APC, Idris dismissed the rumors of defection as mere nonsense, likening them to the antics of madmen in a marketplace.

He assured the citizens that his administration is dedicated to their welfare and the ongoing development of the state under the APC’s leadership.

“I remain committed to the people of Kebbi State, and together, we will build on the successes of the APC to ensure the benefits of democracy are realized,” he concluded.
