Popular hotel in Abuja sealed by National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons, rescues 11 underaged victims of s3xual exploitation

  


The National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP) has sealed up a popular hotel in Kwali Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory and rescued eleven victims of sexual exploitation.

 

 
The press officer of NAPTIP, Vincent Adekoye, who disclosed this in a statement on Tuesday, February 18, 2025, said the owner of the hotel was arrested while other supporting staff escaped.
 
“Operative of the Agency has sealed up a popular Three Stars Hotel located at the ever-busy Community of Kwali, Kwali Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, and rescued 11underaged girls suspected of use for sexual exploitation,” the statement read.
 
"Luck however ran on the owner of the hotel as she was arrested while other supporting staff escaped.
 
“The development came barely one month after Operatives of NAPTIP burst a private apartment located inside one of the highbrow estates in the heart of Abuja and rescued 9 pregnant girls suspected to be victims of human trafficking.”
