Gunmen suspected to be kidnappers have abducted a 22-year-old woman, Fatima Bello, and her three-year-old daughter, Nana Unaisa, in Malikawa Sarari, Bichi Local Government Area of Kano State.
According to a report from the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of Bichi, six armed assailants stormed the residence of Bello Murtala at about 9:00 p.m. on February 19, 2025, firing shots into the air before whisking his wife and daughter away on motorcycles.
A police patrol team led by the DPO responded to the distress call, but the kidnappers had already fled before their arrival.
The police has assured that efforts were ongoing to rescue the victims and arrest the abductors.
