Florida Man Puts Baby out in Street, Runs Over the Child

A Florida man was arrested on Saturday after he put an 8-month-old baby into the middle of the street and then ran over the child with his car.

It’s not clear if it was intentional, but the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office charged Justin Golden, 20, with vehicular homicide and aggravated manslaughter, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office.

The sheriff’s office said Golden was arguing with a female passenger in the vehicle when he stopped, “took the baby out of the car before leaving the scene, hitting the baby with the car.”

The child was taken to a hospital and pronounced dead, WJXT reported.

Markin Barnes, who runs a barbershop nearby, said he heard a woman screaming and ran out to find her holding the bleeding child.

The sheriff’s office said that Golden and the passenger are believed to be the infants parents but have not confirmed it.
