A man has been killed after a fire breaks out at Trump Tower, the namesake skyscraper of US President Donald Trump in the state of New York.
The blaze started on the 50th floor of the tower in New York City’s central Manhattan area shortly after 5:30 pm local time on Saturday.
The New York City Fire Department responding to the situation said later that the fire had come under control.

Three firefighters have also sustained non-life-threatening injuries
But even before that, Trump declared that the fire had been put out, and thanked the fire department.
They, however, updated the blaze from a three-alarm fire to a four-alarm fire, adding it was not yet under control.

"Fire at Trump Tower is out. Very confined (well built building). Firemen (and women) did a great job. THANK YOU!" the US President wrote.
This is not the first time fire breaks out in the tower.
Two people sustained minor injuries in January, when fire broke out in a cooling tower on the building's roof.
