Pro-Cruz ad attacks Trump for wanting to ‘date’ his own daughter

A super-PAC supporting Republican presidential candidate Ted Cruz is targeting his GOP contender, real estate mogul Donald Trump, for an old joke about “dating” his own daughter, Ivanka.
The 60-second radio ad titled “Stupid Stuff” was released Wednesday to put the joke back in the spotlight.
“Donald Trump says a lot of stupid stuff,” says the narrator in the ad, produced by Make America Awesome. “In 2006, he said on The View, 'If Ivanka weren’t my daughter, perhaps I’d be dating her.’”

The incestuous remarks were not made once as he also “told Rolling Stone that if he weren’t happily married and his daughter’s father, he’d — well, he didn’t finish the thought, but you can guess what he meant."
The anti-Trump super-PAC was faced with criticism last month for posting a nude photo of Trump's wife, Melania, with the caption “Your next First Lady.”
In a response to protect the Slovene-American former model, Trump retweeted a picture of hers next to Heidi Cruz, the Texas senator’s wife, captioned: "A picture is worth a thousand words."
Heidi’s husband himself is implicated in an affair with five women, an allegation Heidi categorically rejected in a Tuesday night interview with Fox News’ Megyn Kelly, who is herself engaged in a feud with Trump following a GOP debate.

“It’s garbage. It’s just garbage,” said Heidi, who once served in the Bush administration and now works as an investment manager at Goldman Sachs. “This is another example of Donald Trump engaging in the politics of personal destruction, using his henchmen to go out and try to destroy others when he is losing. And I think these silly barbs and made up stories did not come out earlier in the campaign because he felt he was doing OK.”

According to Liz Mair, founder of Make America Awesome, “In this political environment, there’s a demand for authenticity.”
The super-PAC’s new ad further denounces Trump over his stance on immigration and saying wages are too high in the US.
“So we figured we’d give the voters what they want and put on display the real, authentic Donald Trump: a guy who’s padded out his inherited fortune by screwing average working people like those he’s begging to vote for him, financially, on a regular basis for decades now,” Mair said.
