Nasa releases to their Flickr page never-before-seen images of Apollo missions

Nasa has released more than 8,400 never-before-seen images of from their Project Apollo Archive.
Released to their Flickr page the images include photos taken by astronauts, starting with the Apollo 8 mission.

The images offer a fresh look at the lunar landings, including new images of Buzz Aldrin and Neil Armstrong's Apollo 11 mission.
Over the course of the Apollo missions 12 astronauts walked on the moon and conducted experiments, taking some incredible photos using specially-adapted cameras.
Kepp Teague, who runs the Apollo Archive, told The Planetary Society that the process to archive every photo has been a long one.
Unlike the images included in the Project Apollo Archive and the Apollo Lunar Surface Journal, the new Flickr set has not been processed.

As a result blurry photos of astronaut's faces sit alongside stunning lunar vistas making it feel somewhat like a family photo album.
