A Federal High Court sitting in Lagos has stopped the management of AIT
and NTA from airing any damaging documentary on the Vice Presidential
Candidate of the APC, Prof Yemi Osinbajo. Prof Osinbajo had on March
10th filed a motion seeking an order restraining the TV stations under
the control of NBC from a violation of his 'right to dignity. right to
privacy, and right to life'.
Delivering his ruling on the suit, Justice John Tsoho ordered the
broadcasting companies to maintain the status quo pending the hearing
and determination of the applicant’s motion on notice for interlocutory
injunction. NBC was also joined as respondents in the suit.
The matter has been adjourned to March 13th for further hearing.
