A movie Marketer, accused the star actress of running off with over Two Million Naira, paid to her for a role in a movie. According to
reports, the actress, Mercy Johnson was paid by the marketer March last
year to star in his movie that kicked-off production in April, but she
abandoned the production after few days and featuring in just few
scenes.
The
filmmaker claim Mercy’s excuse for leaving the movie set was for her to
go spend the Easter holidays with her family and will return after a day
or two, but never returned again till date. The
filmmaker claims they had to continue paying hotel bills for an extra
33 days, because she kept giving them hopes that she would return to the
movie set.
After
several weeks of not returning, they heard she was pregnant with her
second child and had jetted off to the US to stay out her remaining
trimester’s before giving birth.
Immediately
the Filmmaker heard the rumour of her pregnancy with her second child,
he reported the case to the Police and Mercy was declared wanted. He
insisted that he wanted his money to hire another artiste to continue
with his job.
Mercy Johnson has not returned to Nigeria from America where she welcomed her second child several months ago.
