Kreiner extends overall lead with victory in Rogla

Marion Kreiner extended her overall lead in the FIS Alpine Snowboard World Cup standings with victory in the parallel giant slalom in Rogla.
The Austrian triumphed in Saturday's Big Final by 0.77 seconds from compatriot Ina Meschik, giving her a 100 per cent record in the parallel giant slalom races this season.
Having won the first race in Carezza in December, the 33-year-old followed it up with a comfortable victory in Slovenia, dominating all four rounds.

Kreiner was fastest in qualifying and used that to her advantage to overcome Emilie Aurange and Sabine Schoffmann in the early rounds.
She went on to beat Selina Jorg in the semi-final by 0.60secs to book her Big Final place, and confidently took full points with victory over Meschik.
The latter had overcome Amelie Kober, Julia Dujmovits and Tomoka Takeuchi to make the final, but she was unable to stop Kreiner picking up her second win of the season.
In the Small Final, Jorg beat Takeuchi by 0.02secs to claim the final podium place and boost her overall parallel standings.
Kreiner's win means she leads the giant slalom standings by 1000 points from Jorg, while her overall lead is now at 910 points.
