One choice among two was before me

But I’m sorry I could not take both.

Both look so attractive;

So charming and appealing

That I couldn’t choose.

They glitter beyond what I thought

But one choice among two must be made.

I wanted to take both;

I wanted to test both,

But I’m sorry I could not take both.

The things of light so attractive and appealing

And the things of darkness so tempting

But I must take one.

Ah! I am confuse!

I am so troubled and tensed.

I am like a double minded man

That is driven with the wind

And tossed to and fro;

That is so unstable in all his ways

And waves like the wave of the sea.
